DESCRIPTION
Bismarck
The Bismarck, considered the pride of the German Navy, is the ship that, despite having sunk on its first mission, gave rise to the largest naval clash in the Atlantic Ocean during the Second World War. The hull of the Bismarck model is made of fiberglass and includes rudders, shafts, propellers and engines with supports.
The Bismarck kit
After much research work, here is the first assembly kit of the Battleships of the Second World War series with around 600 components. The scale of the model is 1:160, this size was chosen (used for all future kits) as it is at the limit of transportability in even small vehicles without the need to mount external trolleys. The assembly manual will only be supplied with the hull kit. The finished model is also available on request.
Price of the complete kit to the public €1,364.00
Price of the hull kit only €772.00
Price of the bow superstructure kit only €438.00
Price of the stern superstructure kit only €282.00
All the superstructures were taken from archive photos and then scaled to the dimensions of the model to have the right scale ratio and precision of the details. The upper bridges are in glass-filled blue resin to make each detail easily workable, while smaller details are molded in white resin, a solution that improves reproduction precision. The main deck is made of pre-cut plywood (only to be finished) and the deck coverings are made with 0.5x3 mm lime strips. The upper masts, some machine guns and many details are made of brass and copper (some to be built according to the instructions contained inside). The manual contains approximately 300 photographs and guides the construction of the model step by step. Each part of the description refers to the photos in order to combine the explanation with an easy visual guide.
The finished model
The overall weight is 12 kg, while the length is approximately 1,600 mm. The model does not include the batteries (2 x 6V – 5A which must be mounted in parallel), the internal electronic parts (speed regulator, receiver, electrical wires and radio control battery holder) and the radio control.
The finished model of the Bismarck is made only to order at the price of €9,600.00 + VAT.
