DESCRIPTION

Giulio Cesare

Woe to the defenseless! This is the warning engraved on the carabiniere hat (main firing direction) of the battleship Giulio Cesare. Rebuilt by the Italian Navy in 1933 at the Cantieri del Tirreno in Genoa for a good 60% compared to the original construction of 1920, with a new bow that covered the old one, it is the ship that has inextricably linked its name to the naval clash of Punta Stilo in the Second World War, during which it was hit (although not seriously) by a 381 mm shell fired by the English battleship Warspite. The Julius Caesar kit

Here is finally the 1:160 scale assembly box of the Giulio Cesare from the "Battle Ships of the Second World War" series with approximately 350 components. The hull of the Giulio Cesare is made of four-layer canvas fiberglass with a coat of primer already given and includes rudders, shafts, propellers and engines with support. The upper decks of the model, the cannons and all the details are made of resin to make each detail easily workable and increase the precision of reproduction. The assembly manual will only be supplied with the hull kit. Price of the complete kit to the public €730.00 NO LONGER AVAILABLE

Price of the hull kit only €514.00 NO LONGER AVAILABLE

Price of the superstructure kit only €325.00 NO LONGER AVAILABLE

The main deck and the castle deck of the model are made of pre-cut plywood (only to be finished) and the covering of the main deck is carried out with 0.5x3 mm lime strips included in the kit. The upper shafts and some details are made of brass and copper (some to be built according to the instructions contained inside). The Julius Caesar kit manual contains approximately 350 photographs and guides the construction of the model step by step. Each part of the description refers to the photos in order to combine the explanation with an easy visual guide. The 1:160 scale (used for all the kits in the series) was chosen as it is excellent for transportability even in small vehicles while still guaranteeing a model with good reproduction of the details (the result is a quality finished ship). The kit does not include batteries (1 x 6V-8A), the internal electronic parts (speed regulator, receiver, electrical wires and remote control battery holder) and the remote control (possibly to be requested separately). The assembly box produced by us is put on the market at the price of €710.70 NO LONGER AVAILABLE. The finished model

The finished model is a magnificent reproduction of the original. It presents excellent quality and offers a great emotion just by looking at this ship, which awakens many memories in us Italians. The overall weight is 5.5 kg, while the length is approximately 1,170 mm. The finished model is made only to order at a cost of €7,600.00
